Last weekend I enjoyed a wonderful mini-break in Melbourne where I spent my days catching up with friends and (of course!) looking for vintage along the way.
I also went to see the Miss Fisher costume exhibition which is currently on display at Rippon Lea House and it is just as splendid as the show. The detailing on the pieces is gorgeous! You can’t take photos of the costumes (which made me slightly sad) and inside the house (which is Aunt Prudence’s house on the show), so you’ll have to investigate its wonders for yourself and… if you do be sure to have a wander around the beautiful gardens too.
The rest of my time involved: walking around and enjoying the city, markets and gallery; eating treats that I can’t get back home, like Hungarian Tunnel cakes (pictured above and found in Ballarat), Glick’s delicious bagels and sweets at the Hopetoun tea room (pictured below); and most importantly enjoying some time out.
It was a pretty fabulous weekend! How was yours?
