Along with Glomesh, I love finding Faigen handbags when I’m searching for vintage. Faigen is an Australian handbag label that was predominately sold in David Jones’ department stores during the 1960s to 80s.

Why do I love them so? Well… they came in so many marvellous styles and this 1960s one is a recent addition to my collection.

On a scale of one to awesome… I think it’s pretty awesome!

This 1960s Faigen handbag is pretty fabulous too!

As are these soft pouch bags from the 1970s…

And these clutches that are big enough to carry your essentials… I really want the one on the right!

There’s just something about classic Faigen handbags. I think they’re elegant, tailored, streamlined and the label was renowned for not only quality leather bags but their clever use of simulates and vinyls, which were imported from Japan and Germany.

When I’m not hoarding the Faigen bags I find for myself, you’ll see some for sale in the store
