The other day, I was going through and cleaning up my iPhoto library and I came across two old photographs of my parents. I originally scanned them over 10 years ago and they are my favourite photos of my mother and father. The photos were taken at different stages in my parents life, before they met and I was even thought of.
My mother is in her uniform taking a snap of something before heading off to school (hence the slippers!) and I love how even though you can’t see what she has her camera aimed at, it’s a picture of her taking a picture. A little bit hipster really… especially with the ‘vintage’ camera! ;)

Here, my father is taking a picture of himself outside his first home (and mine!) in Canberra and I love how happy he looks. His smiling eyes make me smile! I also think it’s an excellent selfie, especially considering it was taken before the convenience of digital cameras.

I think my parents would be great Instagrammers, don’t you?!
Disclaimer: My mum does have an Instagram account but I’m pretty sure she only uses it to see my photos. Hi mum! xo

I love old photos so much. These are great and I have a camera almost identical to the one your mum is holding there. I really need to load it with film.
Thanks Jessie!
Old cameras are great aren’t they? I still have my old SLR from my school days and a Polaroid which I really should get some film for and start using.
Oh these are great! Sarah xxx
Fantastic photos! Seems proof your photography love and skills were passed down from your mom and dad.
Ha! I never thought of that Karen… I think you may be right. :)
Great pics, Teresa!
Thanks Anathalia!
