Vintage dresses coming to the store soon!

When I came to Hong Kong I wasn’t expecting there to be too many amazing vintage thrift finds but thankfully… I’ve been proven wrong! In amongst the few charity shops and markets with racks (and piles) of clothing, I have sought and found beautiful 1960s and 1950s vintage dresses for the store. HOORAY!

Vintage 1950s and 1960s polka dot dresses

Vintage 1960s abstract and floral print dresses

Vintage 1960s eyelet dresses

Vintage 1950s embroidered dress and cheongsam

Vintage 1960s Nelly Don and 1970s Gay Gibson dresses

Now… before I add these beauties to the store… I have a question for you…

When I moved overseas I was unable to take my dress form with me and I’m wondering… what is the best way to show these new vintage dresses to you? Would you prefer to see them modelled on someone? Do you like to see clothing on dress forms? Or, is it okay to photograph an item hanging on a clothes hanger?

What do you think?
